The Equifax Mobile app for Android is a free app that lets users access premium features like Equifax Places.
This feature lets users view credit and identity fraud averages by GPS location or zip code anywhere in the US. Subscribers to Equifax credit monitoring can also use the app to protect their credit and identity while on the go with real-time access to their credit report, which can be locked and unlocked via the app. Locking your credit file with Equifax will prevent access to it by certain third parties, such as credit grantors or other companies and agencies. It will not prevent access to your credit files at other credit reporting agencies, however. Another feature of the app is called Web Detect, which lets you know if your personal information is found on Internet trading sties. The app also alerts you when there are changes to your credit report.
